Triumph Tales

Meet Muhumuza our Own

"Today, when I entered Kabarole Hospital, guess who I encountered? It was none other than Thomas Muhumuza, someone we’ve nurtured and educated through the efforts of Bringing Hope to the Family. As an organization, we have undeniably played a significant role in transforming people’s lives and positively impacting numerous families. I want to express my gratitude to the team and encourage you all to recognize that in moments like these, you are making a meaningful contribution."

Dr. Faith Philo Kunihira Founder and Executive Director – BHTF

Grave to the Cradle

The devastating consequences of teenage pregnancy persistently result in innocent children being left neglected and vulnerable, depriving them of the opportunity to lead healthy and fulfilling lives. This is why Bringing Hope to the Family remains dedicated to undertaking initiatives that enhance the health and well-being of children within families and communities across the Kyenjojo district.

Recently, we received another infant under profoundly distressing circumstances. A one-day-old baby was tragically buried alive by his teenage mother immediately after birth. Thankfully, a compassionate individual who was gathering firewood discovered the infant and brought him to Hope Again Medical Centre, albeit in a critical condition. The baby was diagnosed with Tetanus, a potentially life-threatening bacterial infection, and has been under the care of our medical team. While he still requires extensive medical attention, our dedicated medical professionals have played a pivotal role in saving his life.

We express gratitude for his survival and are delighted to share the news that he has found love and nurturing at Home Again Children’s Home in Kaihura, where he joins other children who have been given a second chance at life.

Transforming Lives: From Hardship to Healing - The Inspiring Journey of Dr. Tugume Innocent

Here's a story about a young man in Uganda, named Tugume Innocent, who was helped by BHTF to become educated and is now a doctor in Uganda. Innocent's early life was marked by hardship; his family was poor, and his family lacked basic amenities, including access to quality education. However, Innocent was a bright and curious child, always eager to learn and dreamt of becoming a doctor to help his community, which was frequently ravaged by disease and lacked medical facilities.

Innocent's dreams seemed unattainable until the day the BHTF family and their generous donor offered him tuition to attend school. This opportunity was the turning point in Innocent's life.

Innocent excelled in his studies, his insatiable hunger for knowledge and his dedication paid off when he passed his exams with flying colors, earning his way to obtain a diploma in clinical medicine and community health with Medicare Health Professionals College in 2024.

Innocent is a beacon of hope in his community, inspiring others with his dedication and compassion. His story became a testament to the power of education and the difference one person can make with the right support and determination.

Innocent stated this "you have transformed me,mentored me into someone who can easily fish and be essential for this work, may the almighty God bless you forever. The bible says that whoever helps orphans and widows the harvest is always plenty and has done what God requires.
