Ronald Abiine Excels with 18 Points in UACE
Obtaining a good education is still an uphill road to climb for children born in rural areas in Uganda as very few complete their primary school. Ronald Abiine’s story is similar to so many others where poverty frustrates quality of life. At the young age of 11, he had already dropped out of primary school to work as a herdsman due to his parents’ failure to afford the necessary requirements for him to stay. He came to Bringing Hope to the Family to seek support as he was determined to resume his studies and the organization assisted him from primary six through to senior six.
Today, we share his joy of excelling with 18 Points in his 2020 UACE national exams and qualifying to join the university to pursue his dream of becoming a lawyer so as to fight for the rights of vulnerable children in his community. His journey is an inspiring one as his circumstances did not limit him but rather motivate him to work hard for the future he desired. Ronald is living proof that given the opportunity, all children despite their socio-economic background, can achieve their academic dreams.
Our organization has been committed to providing both formal and informal education for orphans and less privileged children for the last twenty years. One of our approaches to changing families from dependency in the communities we serve has been supporting encouraging youth to enable them to solve their own problems. We are grateful to our partners and donors who have been dedicated to supporting us in restoring the hope of families and communities in the Kyenjojo district.
