Immaculate Kajumba is 18 years of age from Kyabaranga village whose father Emmanuel is a peasant. When Immaculate was 7 years old, her left eye developed a swelling, she was taken to Buhinga hospital in Fortportal where she was later referred to Mulago Hospital in Kampala. A test was done which confirmed that the swelling was cancerous and was recommended for surgery, but due to lack of money, the surgery was not conducted and now her left eye no longer sees and she is in pain.
