She was examined at Hope Again Medical Center and was immediately referred to Buhinga government hospital in Fort Portal. She received some medication, and an ultrasound revealed that she was 34 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. Her condition was too serious to be handled at this hospital, so she was referred to Mulago Referral Hospital in Kampala. She required a Cesarean Section and another surgery to remove the large growth. Annet arrived at Mulago Hospital on April 6, 2015. She was accompanied by her mother, who stayed with her and attended to her basic needs at all times. A plea for financial help was posted and within 6 hours $1,500= was raised. On June 20, 2015 Annet delivered a baby girl named Madeline. It was determined that Annet remain at Mulago until she could receive surgery to remove the wart, which was two months later.
